Delhi Zoo or the National Zoological Park, Fort, located next to the famous historical monument, old as Purana Qila, Mathura road, South Delhi called will. The Zoo was founded in 1959. Delhi Zoo is probably one of the best zoos of Asia, as it offers more than 2000 species natural habitat and bird houses. Many varieties of animals and birds include various continents such as Africa, America, Australia, etc. for a home at the Zoo.
This place is locally known as “Chidyaghar” among Delhi men. Good transportation facilities such as buses, auto-rickshaws, taxis and metro rail for tourists visit this place provided.
At the entrance of the Zoo to a large lake and Mughal Minar Kos find. After about 1 km of winding road it splits in two directions. Together with wildlife consisting of the right side of the Zoo library where animals, birds, plants and rare zoological species of India information can be collected.
If you begin the hike along the right side of the Zoo, encounter CAGES, cages the animals as chimpanzee, hippopotamus, spider monkey, African wild Buffalo, Gir lion and zebras, etc.. Delhi Zoo provides Habitat for many species of animals, birds and reptiles in the Artifitial environment.
As you move towards the left side of the road, you can find school with many number of migratory birds such as peafowl, etc. When you reach the heart of the Zoo, you find underground reptile home complex for the nocturnal animals such as King Cobra, Pythons and other species.
When talking about fauna from Delhi Zoo there are trees, Phulani hedges, hanging deep yellow Alamtas etc. about 200 varieties of trees, like Delhi Bistendu, drought-resistant Lahura.
Find almost all varieties of deer and many endangered types of India the Leopard, elephant and white Tigers of Rewa. Other than this, which can even see, other animals such as black buck, Indian Rhinoceros, Indian Gazelle, Leopard cat, tailed Lion macaques and hippopotamus.
Because the area is large, provided all animals with many facilities, including the spacious enclosures for their survival.
It is said that Delhi Zoo is popular destination for migrant birds during the winter than the Lake at the entrance of the Zoo, is filled with many number of migrants birds from around the world such as storks, ducks and other waterfowl.
